چکیده

The addition of an aqueous solution diketopiperazine cyclo(Pro-Xxx) (Xxx: amino acid residue) to (?)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate (EGCg) led precipitation the complex EGCg and cyclo(Pro-Xxx). molecular capture abilities using were evaluated by ratio amount included in precipitates with that total used. Stronger hydrophobicity side chain residue a higher ability. Furthermore, ability decreased when had hydrophilic hydroxyl group. When cyclo(Pro-Xxx), excluding cyclo(D-Pro-L-Ala), was taken into hydrophobic space formed three aromatic A, B, B? rings EGCg, complex, their conformation maintained space. Based on nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) measurement, 3-position methyl group cyclo(D-Pro-L-Ala) D2O axial, whereas cyclo(L-Pro-L-Ala) equatorial. 2 : its changed from axial position equatorial due steric hindrance EGCg.

Anticancer effects and molecular mechanisms of epigallocatechin-3-gallate

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is a type of catechin found in green tea. EGCG exhibits a variety of activities, including anti-inflammatory, antidiabetes, antiobesity, and antitumor. In this review, we focus on the antitumor effects of EGCG. EGCG inhibits carcinogen activity, tumorigenesis, proliferation, and angiogenesis, and induces cell death. These effects are associated with modulation ...

Differentiation-Inducing Activity of the Phyto-polyphenols Epigallocatechin-3-gallate and Kaempferol on NB4 Cells

Background and Objective: The rate of survival in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) can dramatically improve, if the patients receive all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) treatment. However, this drugchr('39')s toxicity is a major problem in APL treatment. Previous researches have demonstrated that phyto-polyphenols such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and kaempferol cause apoptosis in hematopoie...

Effects of Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate on Autophagic Lipolysis in Adipocytes

Previous studies demonstrated effects of green tea on weight loss; however, green tea-induced modulation of adipocyte function is not fully understood. Here, we investigated effects of the major green tea phytochemical, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on triglyceride contents, lipolysis, mitochondrial function, and autophagy, in adipocytes differentiated from C₃H10T1/2 cells and immortalized ...

Molecular targets of (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG): specificity and interaction with membrane lipid rafts.

Proteomic studies on anticancer activity of Green Tea Catechins (specifically EGCG) are suggesting a large set of protein targets that may directly interact with EGCG and alter the physiology of diseased cells, including cancer. Of notice, benign cells are usually left untouched. Lipid rafts have been recently recognized as signal processing hubs and suggested to be involved in drug uptake by m...
